Kevin Armstrong

” If I see a guitar, I have to play it. If there is no guitar around, I sing to myself while hitting things to keep time. Music is so deep in me, I can’t get it out. Sometimes it’s been said that my music is too cerebral, but I have yet to see anyone composing music with their chest ripped open, and their heart bleeding all over the page. Music originates in the mind, like everything else in the universe. My music, then, must be connected to the universe, as it is a part of it.”

Kevin’s Bio
Kevin was born in Canada, and grew up in the richly artistic community of Nelson, BC. At the age of 9, Kevin took up guitar, learning rock, classical and jazz styles. He played at every bar, coffeehouse and street corner that would have him, and eventually packed up his 1979 Volkswagen Rabbit and set out on a North American Tour. These road adventures became the rock musical “Road Stories” … Kevin then studied music at McGill University, graduating with an always marketable M.Mus in opera performance in 2001 … Kevin then moved to Europe, where he keeps busy with opera performances, theater, and rocking out … Kevin has also directed a short film, “Satan’s Slaughter Six: A Film by G. Adrian Dumkopf” as well as music videos for Jerome Savoie’s songs “Stress” and “Entre elle et moi” … “Personal Artifacts”, Kevin’s most adventurous recording to date, has a sound rich in layered guitars, complex vocal harmonies, and a musical diversity that reflects his colorful background. Kevin lives in Germany, and performs with a variety of collaborators.
